Introduction to my new page, “Human Psyche”

Amongst all the fascinating and illuminating things I have picked up on my unending quest for knowledge, I have developed a bias for humans and how their minds work. The creative brain and its peculiarities, taking tours inside the minds of all-time geniuses and narcissist like Albert Einstein and Adolf Hitler, the Mozart effect of music making people smart, how psychedelics distort the functionality of individuals, Mnemonics, the power of the Placebo, mind over matter, Hypnotism, Paradigm shifts, and tons of other mind boggling matters.

So, after a few weeks of pondering and what not; I finally decided to set up a new page, known as “Human Psyche”.

“The human psyche is the mind or soul. It is the centre of an individual’s emotions, thought and behaviour. The psyche controls the individual’s response to his environment. The etymology of the word refers to the animating spirit of the individual”– Reference

Now, before you start imagining the level of boredom to expect judging by the topics and their slightly geeky names, I should let you know that the idea is not to start a philosophy/psychology/creative business/history lecture class. Following from the central theme of LW and its emphasis on decoding complex issues and feeding only illuminating contents, we would seek to understand how these issues affect our everyday rationale. We then would learn how we too can rise above normality and average and soar to points of knowledge, so high, that our names go down in history.

If it is still sounding creepy, think of it this way – we would be analysing why certain people react different than others, why some people remain significantly richer and smarter than others, why some people believe that until they have taken doses of painful injections in a hospital, they would never get well, and why your personality type makes you susceptible to certain traits. Africans are born into certain mentalities and show certain traits that are different from whites. For one, you would wonder why Africans do not take on risky and adrenaline pumping activities like bungee jumping and diving. I promise to steer away from the real creepy stuffs like alien invasions, UFOs, and portals – totally just interested in the mind stuff here.

At the end of the day, the mission is to gain knowledge and seek out new ways to be better off than our counterparts. Knowledge is wealth; so, welcome on board!
